Ecology and Film: this program will examine the main issues of the environment and its preservation.

Personal Responsibility and Social Obligation: personal and social dilemmas such as personal gain vs. compassion and tolerance towards others will be examined through film. Special emphasis will be put on choice and personal responsibility.

Consumerism: using the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory issues of materialism and consumerism will be examined.

My Age and Me - the Dream of Being an Adult: who hasn't dreamt of being a kid forever? Or to at once become a grownup? What is the magic behind the dream?

Parent-Child Relationship: family life and its complex relationships are the base of many of a child's inner conflicts. Self formalization and independence are painful processes that at times require physical or emotional separation.

How do groups of children deal with that which is different from them? Using film, the program will attempt to deal with this issue.

Friends and Groups: during the day we will examine different aspects of groups of children and the way film captures these different social clicks.

Coexistence in Israeli society through film: the lecture will tackle films that have tried to bridge the gaps existing between Jews and Arabs, to find a common language or those who immortalize gaps and prejudices.

The Animal as the Hero: how does cinema treat the connection   between protagonist and animal?

On Magicians: this program will ask why we are so attracted to scary, mysterious, and suspenseful stories.

Animation with Bubbles the Monkey: the program tells the story of animated film, revealing the secrets behind the making of an animated film.

The Rhythm of the World: first steps in understanding the connection between animation and rhythm - how does the sound build a sentence, how animation constructs a magical but simple world understood by all.

Animated Sounds: what is the connection between animation and sound? The program will take us on an adventure of understanding picture and sound.

Makeup in cinema: an extraordinary opportunity to experience first-hand how makeup is used in film.

Making films: a workshop where the participants will be the ones behind and in front of the camera, learning the language of film through experiencing it.

Who's afraid of Special Effects? A stuntman will demonstrate how "magic" is made on the big screen.

An Animated Dialogue: the artistic values and the techniques of animation, the cinematic values and principles behind the simple story on an animated film.

Animation - the art that doesn't stop: what is animated film? Is it just a cartoon or so much more? What is the history of the genre? All these will be discussed in this introduction to the art of animation.

Screening of Films suitable for 5th and 6th graders: The Island on Bird Street, Wooden Gun, and Summer of Aviya
